The Spirit of Corby

By Ian Loveland

The Spirit of Corby is intended to represent steel emerging from iron - the industries upon which modern Corby was built - and rising up in the air. This Corby landmark has been moved a few times - appropriately, to allow for development work so Corby can grow and develop further. These photos show the Spirit in a much different town centre to the one we have now, including the original fountain in Queen's Square.
