The Our Corby Project

The Our Corby project has seen local people using long hidden photographs of Corby from the 1890s to the 1990s to explore how Corby has changed. Two historic photographic archives have been digitised and cataloged by local volunteers for people to explore through this community archive website.

Digital artists and writers have been working with local communities to explore these images and celebrate Corby’s history of absorbing new cultures as it grew from stone-built village of fifteen hundred souls, to steel ‘boom-town’ of more than fifty thousand to contemporary Corby.
